A research team of the School of Business Management and Humanities of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology presented a new socio-economic and environmental baseline study on February 1, 2017 in Ulaanbaatar. The study was financed by a grant from Gobi Oyu Development Support Fund. The initiator of the study, MP N.Amarzaya, said that it should become a vital resource for making and implementing long-term development policies in South Gobi aimag. A workshop with aimag and soum government representatives were also held.
